Mr. Kirchfeld oversees Bloomberg’s global coverage of mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, private equity, and shareholder activism, leading an international team that reports on the world’s most significant transactions. Since joining Bloomberg News in 2006, he has helped shape its reporting on major market developments, drawing on experience covering European banks in Frankfurt and M&A in London. His career began in Portland, Oregon, followed by roles at F.A.Z. Weekly in Frankfurt, and he holds degrees from Johns Hopkins SAIS and Columbia University.
