Mr. Munkelt has been CEO and Chair of the Management Boards of Morgan Stanley Europe Holding SE, Morgan Stanley Europe SE, and Morgan Stanley Bank AG since July 2024, and also serves as a board member of Morgan Stanley International Limited. Having joined Morgan Stanley in 2006, he brings nearly two decades of deep expertise in credit risk management, having held senior leadership roles including Chief Risk Officer, EMEA Head of Counterparty Credit Risk, and Deputy EMEA Head of Credit Risk Management. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Financial Services division in Germany. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University for Cooperative Education Dresden and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
