Prof. Axel Wieandt – a former top management consultant, international banking executive, and CEO / CFO of two German banks – is a senior financial services professional with a focus on banking and fintech. He is advising US and European private equity / venture capital funds and real estate companies on their investments across Europe. Prof. Wieandt is serving on the advisory / supervisory boards of several leading German fintech, leasing, and real estate investment companies. He is a fintech investor himself and has teaching assignments with top-ranked business schools in the USA and Germany, such as WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. He has published over 55 research papers / op-eds and is a frequent conference speaker / panelist. Prof. Wieandt is the author of "Unfinished Business: Putting European Banks Back on Track" (2017).
