Dr. Langel joined Macquarie in 2010, becoming Co-Head of Macquarie Capital EMEA in 2018 and taking over as Head of EMEA in 2021. With an extensive background in investment banking and financial management, he previously held senior positions at Merrill Lynch and Lazard (2001–2010).Earlier in his career, he worked as CFO of Dunlop TECH Group after serving as Manager of Financial Control, and from 1993 to 1998, he was an auditor at Price Waterhouse.
Dr. Langel holds a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Wirtschaftsinformatik) from the University of Würzburg.
