Prof. Paul Momtaz

Chair of Private Equity, Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main

We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Paul P. Momtaz to this year’s Campus for Finance – WHU Private Equity Conference. Since September 2020, he holds the first-ever “Chair of Private Equity” in Germany, installed at Goethe University in Frankfurt. Prior to Goethe University, Momtaz studied Mathematics and Economics in Hamburg, Paris, and Cambridge, and was affiliated with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His main research interests include entrepreneurial and corporate finance, with an emphasis on private equity markets. Before his academic career, Momtaz also worked at Commerzbank. We are honored to have Prof. Dr. Paul P. Momtaz join us as a speaker and are excited to listen to a presentation of his newest paper: “The Private Equity Discount.”
