Dr. Paul Achleitner

Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Deutsche Bank AG

Since May 2012, Paul Achleitner (born 1956 in Linz, Austria) has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank AG. Achleitner studied at Harvard Business School as well as at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), where he also earned his Ph.D. After four years with the management consulting firm Bain & Co in Boston, Achleitner left in 1988 to join the investment bank Goldman Sachs & Co. There, after working in New York and London, he became a resident partner in Frankfurt from 1994 to 1999. In the years 2000 to 2012, Achleitner was Chief Financial Officer of Allianz SE. Since 2001 Achleitner has been an honorary professor of finance at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management.
